Every form they got had to be handed over to election officials, and all the bad ones were thrown out by the election officials. If you have a link that proves that ACORN influenced the presidential election by even one vote, please post it.

I don’t think that they actually rigged the elections. That doesn’t mean their fraud should just be ignored. They are a degradation to our election process.

Well they are being prosecuted many times over through out the country – tell me what is the purpose of paying people to register others – it makes no sense and waste, time, money and resources that could be directed elsewhere.

After a voter is registered illegally there is no way to go back and discount their vote since voting is done in private.

ACORN didn’t affect the election, but if they claim it did then why were they say it didn’t affect Bush’s second election? They like crap out there when it suits them, but there was a lot of buzz surrounding Obama so I wasn’t surprised when he won. I actually would have been surprised if he lost.
Maybe there was some fraud, but I think Obama would have won regardless. There were just too many people wanting to see it happen. It was the first time I got off my ass and voted in an election I thought finally mattered.

acronym–reported every variation, permutation, and suspected fraudulent registration, and some of their field workers were fired, and a few were apparently prosecuted.

Among the various ridiculous assertions by these sleaze bags, I have yet to read a verifiable word of ANY kind, or even an accurate description of the organization. Handing in a baloney registration form is NOT election fraud.
Someone has to VOTE for there to be ELECTION FRAUD, and these lying neo-Nazi sissies have not shown a single vote cast in error because of action by ACORN. Indeed, they haven’t shown a single finalized registration that was “fake”.

However, the Republicans, in Florida and Arizona, made a special point of disenfranchising voters for “criminal history” who had SIMILAR names, sometime nine times as many as there were “charges”, and that IS genuine election fraud. Eight of nine examined were NOT the correct persons, and guess what? They were all minority persons or registered Democrats!
Nor is ACORN doing Census 2010, that work cannot be subcontracted. Read the law. And if you have read that they are, please advise someone responsible… Only lying flaks are peddling that insanity.

I’ve read every word in the valid media I could find, and have not located a single mis-cast or fraudulent ballot which flowed from these silly pranks.

In some counties, where ACORN is prominent, there were more Democrat votes, then there are registered voters. Nothing fishy about that.

Hey Liberals, name one thing Mr Obama has accomplished as President, economy better? unemployment better? massive government spending and expansion of power? Right now a bill repealing the 22nd amendment is in the works, so Mr Obama can be President until we are all learning to speak Chinese, look it up sponsored by junior senator from New York.
You are naive if you think election officials check out every voter registration form they receive, especially when they come in by the thousands just before an election. They catch a few voters at non-existent addresses and/or grave yards but by no means all. Seems to me that since Acorn gets Federal funding, they should be checking out what theysend in.
Well, this post is pure idiocy, ACORN exists for the sole purpose of affecting elections. If they had no effect on this election then they are worthless and would be GONE and not get any more contracts to do comunity organizing.. They are not organizing neighborhoods for crime watches, or for emergency relief in hurricanes or floods, or fires..They are organizing communities for political advantage for the party which they back…
ACORN did NOT alter the election one bit. The ACORN branch in St. Louis is headed by a conservative, Reverend Larry Rice, and the main mission is to help homeless people have access to resources, such as food, shelter, clothing, bus passes or transportation. When I did volunteer work with them during Reagan/Bush years, numbers of homelessness had risen drastically under Reaganomics (deregulated “trickle down” like Bush/Quayle and Bush/Cheney, with similar results), and Rev. Rice was determined to locate military veterans who were homeless. He set up community helpers at large tables, so those of us in the “field” were told to locate military veterans among the masses of homeless people and get them to the tables where their applications were filled out for benefits, P.O. boxes, bus passes, food stamps, vouchers for clothes, and other community resources or services. Because some branches help poor people or the homeless register to vote as part of the community-outreach, there were some people who deliberately signed silly names (Ex.: “Mickey Mouse”, etc.—defiance is common among those who resent charity or who don’t want anyone to know who they are). The Republicans who DID cheat in the 1994 election (where not a single exit poll matched the results) and again in the 2000 are just trying to confuse the issue by projecting their own foibles onto others—it’s a strategy that is supposed to distract from their own duplicity and ruthlessness.
Because they refuse to believe that a majority of Americans could possibly have rejected their wonderful conservative values.
But we did, because their values are not wonderful, and conservatism doesn’t work.
Acorn did help effect the election…by getting people to vote.
not only that the people they helped to get to vote lived in areas that tended to vote Democrat.
and they also tried to make sure people’s voting rights weren’t violated
if it wasn’t for that landslide of new voters voting for Obama that ACORN helped bring in McCain could have won…how unfair that people had a chance to do their civic duty.
